Destructive rosellas

P1140670

I spend a lot of time trying to attract birds into my garden but this morning I finally chased two rosellas out of my plum tree. They’ve been eating buds off the higher branches for a couple of days now. I’m sure it’s the same two repeat offenders. I’ve been up the ladder to try and see what they’re eating but because they’ve eaten them it’s hard to tell. I’m guessing it’s mostly leaf buds. Never mind – they can have their bit and in January the silvereyes and blackbirds will have their share. There’s always plenty to go around.
