Zinnias and sunflowers

Bumblebee on zinnia

Early this summer I had a mass of vipers bugloss flower attracting the early bumblebee into my garden. Then for the last month or so zinnias have taken over and been frequented by bumblebees and the odd monarch butterfly. Bumblebees have also been loving my sunflowers which are now almost finished and going to seed. But here finches and sparrows will take over and I should get a lot of activity from them around the sunflower seed heads over the next few weeks.
