Grey warbler

Grey warbler Kanuka in garden

Grey warblers built a nest in manuka (Leptospermum) I planted around the edge of my garden and fledged two young. I just saw one of them back again still being fed by its parent in a planting of kanuka (Kunzea). The two then moved on to the Australian tea tree (Leptospermum sp.) out on the street. The various tea trees are a real favourite of the grey warbler.
